Chock Full of Fun

Thursday I obviously played a game called ‘See how much a fat guy can eat in one day’. I think I won the game. Or lost it, whatever. Here is the menu.

Breakfast:

Big Bear Claw Cinnamon Bun

Lunch:

Baja FreshBaja Burrito. This burrito itself is enough to feed a village of Mexicans. So, of course, I took it the extra mile and got a side of Pronto Guacamole with chips. Then I hit the salsa bar and loaded up on the brown salsa.

Dinner:

Normally that would be enough for a regular human for the day. But no. We then hit Buffalo Wild Wings where I knocked out a couple 20 oz beverages from Blue and Gray Brewing and 10 boneless wings.

Friday found me having my oldest’s birthday party a month late. I got to take eight 11 year olds fishing and swimming. This wasn’t TOO bad. It was only 100 degrees outside. I could see the boys fishing at the lake and swimming at the pool all from the comfort of my chair. That is until the wife brings my three youngest and drops them off. Still OK. I can handle this. I take them to the baby pool and I can still relatively see all the kids. Then it starts to unwind. The baby uses her Little Swimmer diaper as a toilet and I have no wipes. I have to drag her and another kid into the bathroom. Now I don’t see any of the other kids I am supposed to watch and there is no changing table. Messy??? Try taking a dump in one of those things, jumping in the pool till it is nice and soggy and then try to take it off. No tape on the front of these things. You have to slide it down the legs. Get it?? All the kids managed to avoid death and we made it home for pizza right before the storm hit. I mean right before it hit as in we got soaked walking from the vehicles to the house.

Saturday was Tax Free Weekend. You might remember that I wrote about last year’s Tax Free Weekend here. Check that out again for some comic relief. This year I let her go with the older kids while I stayed home and napped with the younger ones. Actually the baby napped and the other one watched tv while I napped. He kept kicking me when the show would end so I could put on another one but I still got some sleep. The wife spent more than last year but at least I was at home. The night ended with another couple coming over to play cards. Obviously in the ten thousand times the wife talked to the other wife, it was never mentioned whether dinner would be served. Well they didn’t come over until eight. My belly don’t wait until eight. So they came over expecting dinner and got some brownies and homemade salsa for their troubles. I bet they will ask more questions next time.

Sunday was a day of rest. We all went to church and I didn’t leave the house again. Now that is a good day.

Garden Update:

The house is being overrun by vegetables. We have picked tons and tons of tomatoes. The cucumbers are doing ok and the peppers have been nice too. Still not making a profit though.
