Beach 09

Normally we go to the beach in September. This year we decided to change things up and go in June. The weather was incredible, especially since it rained like a monsoon back home. There were still no crowds and no traffic. The only bad part is now I am sure the wife will still want some type of vacation in the fall. I am sure many things happened. I will try to remember the highlights.

1. We went with another family. Total 12 kids in one house. People always love to hear how many kids are running around.

2. The realty company failed to mention that our house was bordered by a house on each side and those houses happened to have a hotel on the other side. Nice.

3. One night while the wife and I are watching all twelve kids so the other couple can go out for dinner, she conveniently breaks her toe so I now have thirteen people to take care of. Perfect timing.

4. The beach was mostly empty around us which I like. But the one time we actually got young people near us with bikinis, the wives send the kids running around them hollering so they take off for a quieter place on the beach.

5. Only one person got all four bags in on one turn while playing cornhole and surprisingly it wasn't me. Worse for the ego? It was the wife.

Here are some pictures of the week long joyride I call my life.

My throwing technique is great, but check out the hat.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Some random dude on the beach. I need to get me one of those suits.

What kind of awesome location did we have? Here is a picture of the house FROM the restaurant. Sweet.

Have boards, will travel.

Everybody smile.

Memorial Day

I have gotten a little behind in my updates. Here is what I can remember from the last month or so. Memorial Day weekend. Four day weekend. I am excited for some relaxation. Then I get the bomb dropped on me. Some of the homeschool moms are taking the kids to DC to see the Natural History museum on THE FRIDAY BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY. Of course the wife agrees this is a great idea and we are in the mix. The day wasn't too horrible. A group of 20 something riding the metro to the nations capital. Great weather. Then the horrific (and somehow shocking to the women) ride home. Four hours (granted an hour was stopping for dinner) later and we are back home. Awesome. We should do this again next holiday. Here are some pictures.

Fear the Turtle and the fat guy.

I didn't know Uncle Nosaj was coming.

Put the kids to work early.

The big pencil thingie is still there.
